I spent quite a bit of time trying to find the right gear to wear during that early to late fall time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  After much review, I settled on the Under Armour® ColdGear® Ayton II hoodie and pants.

I had always wanted to try out some Under Armour® ColdGear® to see how they held up.  I was not disappointed.

The sherpa-fleece interior provides warmth, while the 100% polyester exterior provides stealth-like quietness with a form fitting tightness that was put to the extreme test.

The pants provide 300-weight performance fleece to keep your legs warm and also have very useful zipper legs to allow for tall boots.  There were plenty of pockets (in fact, I didn't get a chance to use them all).

The hoodie has 2 zip pockets and a very warm fleece-lined hood.  It is a full zip hoodie, providing the same form fitting tightness that the pants offer.  An annoying part of outerwear is the bulkiness, which is the last thing you want in a tree stand or when you are stalking your game.

The Ayton II is considered ColdGear®, but I wouldn't be wearing this on cold winter mornings or evenings.  This is the perfect outerwear for 20-60 degrees, which makes it a great option for fall deer hunting in the Upper Peninsula.

The combination also offers quick-dry lining and the Under Armour signature moisture transport, however I would not consider this outerwear as rain gear.  That being said, I did wear this during light rain showers, with no issues.

I decided to go with the Realtree AP HD pattern as it was a better fit for the areas I hunt.  Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity is another pattern that is offered.

I plan to use the Under Armour® ColdGear® Ayton II apparel for quite some time, considering I bagged a 10 point buck during the second day of the 2010 archery season with it!  What was impressive about the Ayton II gear was that this deer came within 15 yards of me on two separate occasions.  The pattern was perfect and the material was completely quiet.  For pictures of the Ayton II apparel with my deer, visit the YooperGear.com Photo Album.
